Fairport Baptist Homes offers short-term rehabilitative care in its 18-bed Transitional Care Center to persons who are ready to leave the hospital but are not ready to return home or to a lower level of care. A person who no longer requires intensive hospital services is given the next level of care through such services as post-operative recovery, extensive wound care, post-stroke care, respiratory or pulmonary management, elective and emergency orthopedic recovery, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and management of complex medical conditions. Payment mechanisms include private pay, Medicaid, Medicare, third-party health insurance, and long-term care insurance.
